No Contest featured the use of electronic drums and digital equipment which produced a very different sound compared to other songs around at the time. What makes this album so good is Gussie Clarke's skill for producing, and perfect mixing, which culminates in a crisp fast beat, with tight rhythms, add two of the best reggae artists around, and you've got something special. Strongest songs for me are "No camouflage" Dennis Brown's voice gives me goose bumps. Neon Lights Flashing a long track with great synth sounds, and its fast bass line will not let you stay still. Big All Around which had the neighbours knocking my door complaining about the volume. I recommend this album to anyone who likes crisp sounds, great singers, perfect mixing and something a little different. Listen to the clips in the player below. and get ready to move your feet!
